Senior Division: The Senior Division is comprised of athletes age 17 to 34.
Under 19 Division: This division is the second stage in the making of Olympic Champions. The Under-19 program is intended to give 17- and 18-year-old boxers additional competition opportunities and instill the dedication, discipline, and desire needed to become world-class athletes. Opportunities for Under-19 boxers include a national tournament, training camps, and several international competitions.
Junior Olympic Division: The Junior Olympics is USA Boxing's highly successful developmental program for boys and girls ages eight to 16. This program affords youngsters the opportunity to learn the many skills associated with Olympic-style boxing and compete with other young men and women of their same age, size, and skill level. In each of the four age divisions of the Junior Olympic program, boxers are divided into 17 incremental weight classes. USA Boxing maintains and monitors a special set of rules for the Junior Olympic program that is geared toward the age group and stamina level of the athletes.
USA Women's Boxing: USA Boxing officially lifted its ban on women's boxing in October of 1993 with the first bout taking place later that month. Females are now allowed to register as athlete members of USA Boxing and are also allowed to compete in sanctioned amateur competition within the United States. Currently, more than 120 countries have a recognized female boxing program. Rules regarding women's boxing are similar to the men's program with a few minor differences.
